January 11th Vigil: Close Guantanamo and Stop Torture!

Friday's noon-hour vigil for peace and justice, on the sidewalk outside the Michigan Capitol Building, demands: Close Guantanamo and Stop Torture!
See www.witnesstorture.org for a list of world-wide January 11th actions to close Guantanamo. The Witness Against Torture list includes details of the noon-hour Friday vigil in Lansing.

The American Civil Liberties Union (www.ACLU.org) asks people to wear orange on Friday, January 11, 2008 to remember the horrors of indefinite detention without trial. Close Guantanamo and restore human rights!

The Lansing-Jackson Branch of the ACLU joins vigilers outside the Michigan Capitol at noon on Friday, January 11th, along Capitol Avenue. Wear orange or a black armband, if possible. Bring a Close Guantanamo or Stop Torture sign or use one of ours. www.witnesstorture.org
